There is a mosque in Shah Alam Chowk, Lahore, which was built in one night.
History tells us that during the British rule, a traveler passed by this place and prayed here while the area was then under Hindu majority. The Hindus could not stand it and started rioting. –
The matter reached the court and the Hindus there were of the view that a temple would be built on the site while the Muslims wanted to build a mosque here. On this occasion, the lawyer of the Muslims suggested to him that if he built a mosque here before Fajr morning, the case would be decided in his favor. Muhammad Ali Jinnah was following the case on behalf of the Muslims.
It was heard that the Muslims under the leadership of Gamma Pehlwan decided to build a mosque overnight and the equipment that the Muslim had. He dedicated it to the construction of the mosque. Even women carry water on their heads throughout the night so that a mosque can be built.
On the other hand, after the completion of the construction of the mosque, the court also ruled in favor of the Muslims.
This mosque was built in 1917 and it was named (Masjid Shab Bhar). This mosque is built on an area of 3 marlas.
When Allama Iqbal found out about the construction of this mosque on the third day, he came here and was very happy and that was the occasion when he recited this famous poem.
