The utility stores will now be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a letter issued by the provincial government.
The provincial government says that the Department of Primary and Secondary Health Care has also issued a formal letter in this regard. The decision to extend the working hours of utility stores was taken in view of public convenience.
The letter said that citizens will be able to shop even after Iftar.
The Punjab government further said that official rates would be clearly displayed on all the utility stores and the use of centrifuges for the customers at the utility stores would also be ensured.
