KARACHI: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has started an investigation into the corruption case of Rs 350 billion given by the federation for the welfare of Sindh.

According to the details, it has been revealed that the money given by the federation for the welfare works of Sindh has been sacrificed for corruption.

Sources said that 11.5 per cent of petrol and gas production goes to the federation and the federation returns 11.5 per cent of its share to Sindh without deduction.

According to sources, the federation reimburses money for public health education and other welfare activities and reimburses the people of Sindh for providing basic facilities.

Sources said that the money was to be spent on basic rights of the people through DCs of Sindh. Rs.350 billion was spent but there is no plan.

The sources further said that in the papers, the institutions also spent their annual budget and federal money on the projects and not a single development work was done on these projects.
