KARACHI: Business leaders have announced a protest movement to open markets and industrial centers from tomorrow

According to the report, the business leaders of Karachi along with Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in a press conference announced to launch a protest movement to open the markets from tomorrow.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the Sindh government should announce the opening of markets and industrial centers in Karachi from tomorrow. The Sindh government has agreed on SOPs in talks with traders but is not implementing them.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that there will be a demonstration with the business community at Five Star Chowrangi tomorrow at 3.30 pm. On May 7, there will be a representative convention of traders at Noor-e-Haq in which future course of action will be decided.

He said that the protest would be peaceful and in accordance with SOP. The protest is a democratic right. Lahore and Karachi have the same currency but business is open in Lahore and closed in Karachi.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the federal government should provide a clear policy to the Sindh government on opening business.

Business leader Mahmood Hamid said that in the case of online business, traders have been given red pop and arrests of traders should be stopped.

It is to be noted that two days ago, Atiq Mir, chairman of All Karachi Traders Union, said that the federation was not provoking us to hunger.
