ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister has rejected OGRA’s proposal to increase the prices of petroleum products.

PM Imran Khan rejected OGRA’s proposal to increase the prices of petroleum products to provide relief to the people.

Had ogra proposed an increase of Rs 14.7 paise in the price of petrol and Rs 13.61 paise in the price of high speed diesel.

Proposed had ogra an increase of Rs 10.79 per liter in kerosene and Rs 7.43 per liter in light diesel.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on the summary of increase in prices of petroleum products said that the proposal to increase prices in the interest of public welfare has been rejected. The government will go to any length to provide relief to the people.

It should be noted that at present the petroleum levy on petrol in the country is being charged at Rs 21.04 per liter, while the current petroleum levy on diesel is Rs 22.11 per liter. Also, the prices of petroleum products are changed by the government every 15 days. The prices of petroleum products in the country have been increasing continuously for the last 45 days.
