ISLAMABAD: For the first time in the history of the country, the collection of Rs 4,000 billion is a reflection of the steps taken by the present government to revive the economy.

According to the details, FBR made history by collecting Rs 4,000 billion for the first time. Prime Minister Imran Khan in his message on social networking website Twitter said that he appreciates FBR for collecting Rs 4,000 billion in a year. The FBR receipts from May to May are Rs 4,143 billion. The FBR receipts have increased by 18% this year.

It may be recalled that in March 2021, the Federal Board of Revenue collected record taxes in the first nine months of this year and the Prime Minister appreciated the performance of the FBR on this achievement.

The first nine months of the year, the FBR collected Rs 3380 billion in taxes from July to March, an increase of 10 per cent over the previous year. The FBR had collected Rs 460 billion in March, an increase of 41 per cent.
