An tweet, the PM shared a photo showing 10,163 trees per person in Canada, 4,964 in Greenland, 3,266 in Australia, 3,266 in the United States, 699 in France, 203 in Ethiopia and 143 in China. There are 130 trees per person in UK, 47 in India and 28 in India while there are only 5 trees per person in Pakistan.
The PM has set a target of planting one billion saplings by August this year under the Billion Tree Tsunami Project. Present the government has already planted 700 million saplings so far. 350 million saplings will be planted from February to August in the tree planting campaign.
